Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring '
21' to Blu-ray on July 22nd, day-and-date with the DVD release. The film, which stars Kevin Spacey (
The Usual Suspects) and Jim Sturgess (
Across the Universe), is based the real-life story of a young blackjack savant. No technical specs have been announced at this time, but expect the typical AVC/Dolby TrueHD treatment from the studio.
Extras include audio commentary with the director and stars, and three featurettes ("21: The Advantage Player", "Basic Strategy: A Complete Film Journal", and "Money Plays: A Tour of the Good Life"). Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be a BD-Java game "21: Virtual Blackjack").
