Porchlight Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the recently acquired Animalia children's television show to Blu-ray on September 23rd, day-and-date with the DVD release. The first release, '
Animalia: Welcome to the Kingdom' will contain four episodes including "Hello, We Must Be Going", "Goodbye, We Must Be Staying", "Forget-Me-Not", and "The Mist of Time."
This release will mark the first time that Porchlight ventures in to the high definition jungle. The show, which features computer animation, is about two 11-year-olds who are transferred from their local library into a world of talking animals. It can currently be seen on PBS.
No technical specs or special features have been announced for the release at this time. We expect more information as the release date approaches.
