Arrow Delay Rabid Dogs, Ask for Help

British distributors Arrow Video have announced that their upcoming Blu-ray release of Italian director Mario Bava's Rabid Dogs has been delayed indefinitely due to issues pertaining to the quality of the materials they can currently access. The distributors have also announced that they are looking for any information regarding the whereabouts of original film elements for Rabid Dogs, in whole or in part, that will allow them to complete the project.

The following statement was issued by Arrow Video:

"Our release was originally planned for December - we had strong leads for high quality material located in Germany which at that time seemed the end of the journey. When this was delayed we moved the release date back to February to incorporate access and restoration time. To our great disappointment the materials in Germany turned out to be unsuitable, leading us once again to look down other paths, inquiring with libraries, archives and individuals for material, but despite our best efforts unfortunately nothing could be found.

Now, with this public appeal we are looking for any information regarding the whereabouts of original film elements for RABID DOGS, in whole or in part. If you have access to any of these or know someone who might then please do get in touch!"
