Lionsgate Films UK has announced that it will release on Blu-ray director Michael Lander's thriller Peacock (2010), starring Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Susan Sarandon, Bill Pullman, Keith Carradine, Josh Lucas, and Graham Beckel. The release will be available for purchase online and in shops across the country on January 20th.
In the small town of Peacock, Nebraska, few things escape the attention of the neighbours in the 800-member community. Amidst such close scrutiny, mild-mannered bank clerk John Skillpa (Murphy) strives to protect his privacy, keeping to himself since the death of his mother one year earlier. However, when a railway carriage crashes into his backyard, the presence of Emma, a woman believed to be John's wife, becomes known. As those around him clamour to get to know her, he reacts strangely and guardedly, much to the surprise of his boss (Pullman) and local sheriff (Lucas). Yet Emma refuses to stay hidden, making friends with Fanny Crill (Sarandon), the wife of the town mayor (Carradine), and agreeing to host a rally in her debris-filled garden. As John's behaviour deteriorates, the re-appearance of young single mother Maggie (Page) in his life sparks the beginning of a downward spiral that threatens to force his secret out into the open...
