Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced and detailed the Blu-ray release of director David Twohy's
Riddick, starring Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff, Jordi Mollà, Noah Danby, Danny Blanco Hall, Bokeem Woodbine, Matt Nable and WWE superstar Dave Bautista. Debuting an Unrated Director's Cut with intense sequences not shown in theaters, as well as an alternate ending, the BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack includes bonus features that reveal the behind-the-scenes secrets of the thriller's cast, crew and cutthroat characters. The third installment in the
Riddick franchise arrives on Blu-ray on January 14, 2014.

Riddick will be available as part of a new
Complete Collection set that includes all three movies in the series:

The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury from Emmy Award-Winning animator Peter Chung (

Riddick Synopsis: Diesel reprises his role as antihero Riddick, a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy. Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless, Riddick finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for the hardened killer to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.
