Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced it is bringing director John Sturges'
Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957) and director Howard Hawks'
El Dorado (1966) to Blu-ray early next year. The classic westerns arrive as part of Warner's ongoing distribution deal with Paramount, and street on March 11, 2014.
Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Frontier lawman Wyatt Earp (Burt Lancaster) joins his three brothers in their feud against the villainous Clanton clan, a local gang of cattle thieves in Tombstone, Arizona. When Earp defends the sickly gambler John "Doc" Holliday (Kirk Douglas) and puts a stop to the Clanton's lawlessness, the ruthless outlaws seek revenge and murder one of Earp's brothers, leading the men into the most infamous showdown in Wild West history.
El Dorado: Robert Mitchum is a gutsy sheriff who battles the dark side of the Wild West: ruthless cattle barons and crooked businessmen. John Wayne plays the sheriff's old friend, a man who knows his way around a gunfight. The film features a supporting cast that includes James Caan, Charlene Holt, Paul Fix, Ed Asner and Christopher George, and is filled with both brawling action and unexpected humor.
