Entertainment One has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to director Louise Archambault's latest film, Gabrielle (2013), starring Gabrielle Marion-Rivard, Alexandre Landry, and Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin. Gabrielle is Canada's official entry in the Foreign Language Category of the 86th Academy Awards.
Entertainment One plans to have the film in U.S. theaters later this winter.
Synopsis: Quebecois director Louise Archambault follows her smart and refreshing debut feature Familia with this tender drama about a developmentally challenged young woman's quest for independence and sexual freedom.
