BBC Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the documentary '
Earth: The Biography' to Blu-ray on July 22nd, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p, with the five episodes (equaling 230 minutes of material) spread across two BD-25 discs. Audio will be presented in its original 2.0 stereo form.
The five episodes of the series includes "Volcano", "Atmosphere", "Ice", "Oceans", and "Rare Earth". No extras have been announced at this time.

Planet Earth', another BBC release documenting our planet, is still one of the best selling Blu-ray titles of all time. The success can be attributed to the extreme clear video quality and in-depth perspective given to viewers. They hope similar releases, like 'Earth: The Biography', will be just as popular.
