FUNimation Entertainment and Harmony Gold have announced that they will bring the latest chapter in the Robotech saga, '
Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles' for Blu-ray on September 2nd. The feature-length film was originally produced in high definition, so this will be the first time fans will be able to see the film as originally intended.
Extras include all the material from the previous DVD releases - including the featurette "Birth of a Sequel: The Making of The Shadow Chronicles" - and over 20 minutes of new material. This includes new deleted scenes (with optional commentary from the director), outtakes, and animatics.
No specs have been announced at this time.
