IFC Films and MPI Home Video will bring to Blu-ray Chilean director Sebastián Silva's adventure comedy Crystal Fairy (2013), starring Michael Cera, Gaby Hoffmann, and Juan Andrés Silva. The release will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on November 19th.
Earlier this year, Crystal Fairy won Directing Award (World Cinema - Dramatic) at the Sundance Film Festival.
On a trip through Chile a boorish American expat named Jamie (Michael Cera, Superbad) and three Chilean brothers plan to set off in search of the prized San Pedro cactus and its promise of beachy hallucinations. But in the previous night's drunken stupor Jamie invites a free-spirited fellow American (Gaby Hoffmann, Field of Dreams) along on their mescaline-driven road trip, and her devil-may-care worldview gives them more of an adventure than any of them had bargained for.
