StudioCanal has revealed that it plans to bring to Blu-ray director Jean Renoir's classic drama
La Bête Humaine a.k.a
The Human Beast (1938), starring Jean Gabin, Julien Carette, Simone Simon, and Blanchette Brunoy. The preliminary release date for the French market set by the studio is December 3rd.
Jean Gabin plays a train driver who falls in love with a colleague's wife (Simon). Her jealous husband has already murdered his wife's former lover. The great Jean Renoir directs this tense love triangle, which focuses on love, betrayal and violent jealousy. Adapted from the famous Zola novel.
