IFC Films and MPI Home Home Video have officially announced and detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Franck Khalfoun's Maniac (2012), starring Elijah Wood, America Olivo, Nora Arnezeder, and Sammi Rotibi. The film, which is a remake of William Lustig's 1980 cult slasher, will be available for purchase on October 15th.
Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank's obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.
