British distributors Eureka Entertainment have revealed the titles they are planning to release during the months of October and November. Amongst them are Howard Hawks' legendary film Red River (1948), Fritz Lang's Dr. Mabuse: The Gambler (1922), and a box set with eight films directed by Japanese master Kenji Mizoguchi.

Red River

Red River will be unleashed into the Masters of Cinema Series on 28 October 2013. Hollywood legend Howard Hawks directs one of the most iconic of all Westerns, featuring the inimitable John Wayne and Montgomery Clift in his very first leading role. Released in Blu-ray and special Blu-ray SteelBook editions. UK Blu-ray premiere.

Late Mizoguchi

A ravishing 1080p release of eight late-career works by Japanese master Kenji Mizoguchi. Released in a limited-edition Blu-ray box-set; worldwide Blu-ray premiere of four of the eight films. Featuring Oyū-sama [Miss Oyū] (1951), Ugetsu Monogatari [Tales of the Rain and Moon] (1953), Gion Bayashi [Gion Festival Music, aka A Geisha] (1953), Sanshō Dayū [Sanshō the Steward, aka Sanshō the Bailiff] (1954), Uwasa no Onna [The Woman in the Rumour] (1954), Chikamatsu Monogatari [A Tale From Chikamatsu, aka The Crucified Lovers] (1954), Yōkihi [Imperial Concubine Yang, aka Yang Kwei Fei] (1955) & Akasen Chitai [Red Light District, aka Street of Shame] (1956). Street date: October 21.

Dr. Mabuse: The Gambler

Immaculate 1080p release of the defining first feature of what would become a classic trilogy of Fritz Lang films featuring master criminal Dr. Mabuse. Released on 28 October in a Blu-ray edition; worldwide Blu-ray premiere.

World Cinema Foundation: Volume One

World Cinema Foundation: Volume One will be released as part of the Masters of Cinema Series in a Dual Format edition on 25 November 2013. A three-film set produced in official partnership with Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Foundation and featuring rediscovered gems from Turkey, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. Released in a three-film Blu-ray edition; worldwide Blu-ray premieres of all three films. Vol. 1 includes Dry Summer [Susuz Yaz] (Metin Erksan, 1964), Trances [Transes] (Ahmed El Maanouni, 1981) & Revenge [Mest] (Ermek Shinarbaev, 1989).

Nosferatu

Following a UK theatrical run, F.W. Murnau's genre-defining vampire horror classic Nosferatu (1922) presented in a gorgeous new restoration from the world-renowned FWMS [Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Stiftung] in Germany will be released in DVD, Blu-ray, and special Blu-ray SteelBook editions – all from newly restored materials; UK Blu-ray première and simultaneous worldwide Blu-ray première.
