Sales of Blu-ray discs are up 41% in Germany, according to a new report published by local trade group GVU.de. During the first six months of 2013, German consumers spent more than $250 million on Blu-ray titles.
DVD sales are also up 3% compared to the same period last year after German consumers spent more than $580 million on DVD titles.
The new report effectively makes Germany the second biggest Home Entertainment market in Europe after the United Kingdom.
