Music Box Films genre label Doppelgänger Releasing has announced the Blu-ray release of Colin and Cameron Cairnes'
100 Bloody Acres, starring Damon Herriman (
Justified) and Angus Sampson (
Insidious). The acclaimed horror-comedy cult favorite arrives on Blu-ray on October 1st.
Official Synopsis:
100 Bloody Acres weaves its inspired insanity around two brothers, Reg (Herriman) and Lindsay (Sampson), who are struggling to keep their organic blood and bone fertilizer business alive. Though their secret "recipe" for success -- using dead car crash victims in their product -- has been a huge boon to business, their supply has been gravely low in recent days. It's only when Reg stumbles upon three stranded travelers that he concocts a splatteringly gruesome solution to the problem involving the use of even fresher ingredients! But when Reg finds himself falling for the lovely Sophie (Anna McGahan), one of his intended victims, things get trickier, and gorier, for both his bossy brother and himself.
