Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the first season of the Golden Globe-winning show '
Mad Men' to Blu-ray on July 1st, day-and-date with the DVD release. The show, from Matthew Weiner, the Emmy award-winning executive producer and writer for the '
Sopranos', has been critically acclaimed and heavily nominated for numerous awards.
No specs have been announced for this release, but all 13 episodes will come in a 3-disc set. Extras will include numerous commentaries and featurettes that dig deep into the world of 'Mad Men'. Additionally, the released in a limited-edition metal lighter package. No word on how limited these releases will be.
