Marvel Studios and filmmaker Joss Whedon took to Comic-Con to announce the title of the next Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers film -- Avengers 2: Age of Ultron -- and subsequently unveiled the antagonist of the sequel in a short teaser trailer that featured a glimpse at the helmet of fan-favorite villain Ultron. Other information about the 2015 summer release was revealed as well, including plot and character details.
Whedon discussed his take on Ultron, who will apparently be the result of Stark tech gone awry, rather than scientist Hank Pym (due to make his full screen debut in 2015 in Edgar Wright's Ant Man), and clarified that Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will not be an adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' 2013 10-issue limited comicbook series.
