Venice to Showcase New Short Films From 70 Acclaimed Directors

In celebration of the 70th Venice International Film Festival, the organizers of the prestigious event have invited 70 directors from all over the world to create a short film lasting between 60 and 90 seconds. The shorts will be screened in the newly created Venezia 70 – Future Reloaded program.

Amongst the directors participating in the special event are Bernardo Bertolucci, Paul Schrader, Shekhar Kapur, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Abbas Kiarostami, Monte Hellman and Walter Salles.

All of the shorts will be screened at the Lido during the festival.

The names of all the participating directors will be revealed on a daily basis, starting tomorrow, Saturday, July 20th.
