Universal Studios Home Entertainment is releasing filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock's
Torn Curtain (1966), starring Paul Newman, Julie Andrews, Lila Kedrova, Hansjörg Felmy, Tamara Toumanova and Ludwig Donath. Previously available as part of the
Alfred Hitchcock: Masterpiece Collection, the single-disc release of the tense thriller arrives on Blu-ray on October 1st.
Synopsis: U.S. rocket scientist Michael Armstrong (Newman) and his assistant/fiancée Sarah Sherman (Andrews) are attending a convention in Copenhagen. When Michael begins acting suspiciously, Sarah follows him to East Germany where it appears he is making an attempt to defect to the other side.
The Blu-ray edition of
Torn Curtain features a 1080p video presentation, a two-channel DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track, and several extras:
