Sony, MGM and EON Productions announced earlier today that Sam Mendes will return to direct Bond 24. Currently, the next Bond film is set to arrive in theaters across the UK on October 23, 2015, and in the U.S. on November 6, 2015.
Actor Daniel Craig has already agreed to return not once but twice as agent 007.
Last year, Skyfall, the 23rd installment in the legendary James Bond franchise, became the biggest ever film at the UK box office. The film also made $1.1 billion at the global box office.
Director Mendes said: "I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honor all my theater commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time".
