British distributors Soda Pictures will release on Blu-ray director Craig Zobel's thriller Compliance (2012), starring Ann Dowd, Dreama Walker, and Pat Healy. The release will be available for purchase online and in shops across the United Kingdom on August 19th.
A young fast food restaurant worker finds herself the target of a malicious hoax caller in this thriller from director Craig Zobel. Sandra (Dowd), the manager of a branch of 'Chickwich' in rural Ohio, receives a call purporting to be from a policeman, Officer Daniels (Healy). Told that one of her staff members, 19-year-old Becky (Walker), has been reported for stealing money from a customer's purse, an eager to please Sandra locks Becky in her office. Over the coming hours, and despite protestations of her innocence, Becky is subjected to a range of increasingly humiliating episodes as Sandra, refusing to question authority, actions whatever the voice on the end the phone demands.
