CJ Entertainment has released the first official international trailer for celebrated Korean director Bong Joon-ho's latest project Snowpiercer (2013), starring Chris Evans, Octavia Spencer, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Jamie Bell, and John Hurt.
The Weinstein Company is in charge with the film's U.S. distribution, but a preliminary theatrical release date is yet to be revealed. The Weinstein Company will also distribute the film in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snowpiercer is set in AD 2031 and tells the story of a group of survivors stranded on a train in a post-apocalyptic world covered by snow and ice.
Snowpiercer is Bong Joon-ho's first English-language film. Other films directed by Bong Joon-ho that have been released on Blu-ray include: Memories of Murder, The Host, Tokyo!, and Mother. (Click on the links to read Blu-ray.com's reviews of these releases).
