Independent distributors Olive Films have added two more titles to their September slate: Buzz Kulik's
Riot (1969) starring Gene Hackman, Jim Brown, and Mike Kellin, and Ronald Neame's
Escape from Zahrain (1962), starring Yul Brynner, Anthony Caruso, Jack Warden, and Sal Mineo.
Riot
Led by two inmates, the prisoners in a state facility take guards hostage and stage an all-out riot, protesting ill-treatment, but unbeknownst to them it's a ruse for their two leaders to escape through a secret tunnel while all the commotion is going on.
Escape From Zahrain
In a strife-torn Arab state, fanatical loyalists of a nationalist leader (Brynner) attack a police van transporting him to prison and aid his escape into the deadly Arabian Desert. Escaping with him are fellow death row prisoners Huston (Warden), a swashbuckling American who had embezzled a fortune from the Zahrain Oil Company and Tahar (Caruso), a sadistic maniac. Sal Mineo (
