Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures have announced that Terminator 5 will arrive in theaters across the United States on June 26, 2015. The film, which will be the first in a stand-alone trilogy, will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.
Action superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back in Terminator 5, but at the moment it is unknown what type of role he would have.
Terminator 5 will be produced by Megan Ellison (Zero Dark Thirty, The Master) of Annapurna Pictures and David Ellison (True Grit, Jack Reacher) of Skydance Productions.
Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) will write the script for the new Terminator film.
