20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will finally bring The X Files: Fight the Future (1998) to the United Kingdom. Directed by Rob Bowman and starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and John Neville, the film will be available for purchase on September 2.
Agents Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) make their big-screen debut as they attempt to locate the source of a deadly virus, possibly brought to earth by aliens thirty-seven thousand years ago. As usual, their investigation reveals a potential FBI-cover up, brings them into contact with conspiracy theorists (this time a paranoid doctor (Martin Landau)) and leads them to the door of the all-powerful, yet anonymous, Syndicate. Contains interviews with the stars and previously unseen footage.
Also on September 2, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release a Limited Edition SteelBook which will contain The X Files: Fight the Future as well as Chris Carter's The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008), starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Amanda Peet.
