Marvel's Iron Man 3 has become the fifth highest-grossing film of all time. According to various reports, the mega-blockbuster passed the $400 million mark on Tuesday at the U.S. box office.
Iron Man 3, which is distributed by Disney, has also earned over $1.2 billion worldwide.
The film is directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), and its cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, and Ben Kingsley.
Marvel has one more film heading to U.S. theaters later this year: Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World, starring Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth, and Anthony Hopkins.
