IFC Films and MPI Media Group will bring to Blu-ray director Conor Allyn's crime drama Java Heat (2013), starring Mickey Rourke, Kellan Lutz, and Ario Bayu. The release will be available for purchase online and in stroes across the nation on September 17th.
After an attack rocks Indonesia Sultana's daughter is kidnapped, Jake (Lutz), a reckless American tough guy becomes embroiled in the turmoil ensuing the attacks. Lost among labyrinths of religious, political and cultural havoc, Jake must ally with cerebral detective Hashim (rising Indonesian star Ario Bayu), who handles Jake more like a suspect than a partner. The uneasy friendship leads to a treacherous man-hunt for the attack's real instigator, Malik (Mickey Rourke).
