For the week that ended on May 26th, Lionsgate Home Entertainment's The Last Stand debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package media lists. The action-adventure marked the return of screen legend Arnold Schwarzenegger to leading-man roles, though to slightly disappointing critical and commercial results; when it premiered in January, it mustered only a 54% Metacritic score and a worldwide box-office gross of $37 million (on top of a projected $45 million budget). Still, the film managed a solid home media debut, garnering a Blu-ray market share of 43% and outselling the other releases on the home media platforms.

The small-screen provided the origin for the second-place occupant on the Blu-ray-only rankings: coming in at number two was HBO's True Blood: The Complete Fifth Season. Since its television premiere in 2008, True Blood has long been a commercial success for the premium cable network, and its home-media releases have reflected that popularity; in May 2012, its fourth-season set opened at number one and remained in the top ten of the home media rankings for over two months. True Blood: The Complete Fifth Season had a Blu-ray market share of 36%, and it sold 69% as many HD units as The Last Stand and 81% as many total units.

Finally, Sony Home Entertainment's Parker took the third spot on the Blu-ray-only list. This violent thriller - the first in a new Jason Statham franchise that takes inspiration from Donald Westlake's iconic literary criminal of the same name - scored a 43% Metacritic figure and a domestic box-office gross of just over $17 million since its theatrical debut last January. Last week, Parker drew a Blu-ray market share of 30% and sold 64% as many Blu-rays as The Last Stand. On the overall home media chart, Parker pushed True Blood out of second place and moved 91% as many total units as the Schwarzenegger actioner.
