Japanese film studio Shochiku Co. has announced that it will restore three more films directed by Yasujiro Ozu:
Equinox Flower (1958),
Good Morning (1959), and
Late Autumn (1960). A newly restored
An Autumn Afternoon (1962), Yasujiro Ozu's final film, was screened earlier today in the Classics section of the Cannes Film Festival.
A restored version of Ozu's masterpiece,
Tokyo Story (1953), was also screened earlier this year at the Berlin International Film Festival.
2013 marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of legendary Japanese director.
