Xbox One has been pitched as an all in one media device with deep TV integration, Blu-ray
playback and gaming. It will be available worldwide in 2013 according to Microsoft. During
the event Microsoft unveiled a number of new games including Madden 25, FIFA 14, UFC
and NBA from EA Sports, all of these titles will also be available on Sony's PlayStation 4.
Exclusive titles from Microsoft's own studios includes Forza Motorsport 5 and Quantum
Break from Finnish developers, Remedy. They also launched Xbox Entertainment, an in house TV programming publisher and producer, the first show from Xbox Entertainment will be based on the incredibly successful Halo game and involve legendary director Steven Spielberg.
They also unveiled an all new Kinect sensor as well as a new controller with a new D-pad and enhanced feedback. The Kinect sensor is now designed to work in smaller rooms and records video in full HD.
A separate device will be required to access the deep TV integration shown at the event, pricing and availability of Xbox One and the TV add on remain unknown, Microsoft have promised to show us more at E3 in two weeks time.
