Image Entertainment has announced their upcoming slate of films to be released on the Blu-ray format. As previously reported, April 15th will see the release of '
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead' followed by the May 6th release of '
The Air I Breathe'. On May 20th, Image Entertainment will release the Tony Award-winning musical '
Company' in addition to the previously announced cult-classic '
Short Circuit'.
Specs for the release of 'The Air I Breathe' have also been announced. As previously reported, video will be presented in 1080p accompanied by a DTS-HD Master Audio lossless soundtrack. Newly announced extras include audio commentary, a making-of featurette, deleted scenes, and the original theatrical trailer.
Also known for their expansive library of music related content, Image Entertainment is planning a number of music Blu-ray releases. Coming soon from the distributor will be 'Chicago / Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek', 'Heart: Alive in Seattle', 'Moody Blues: Lovely to See You Live', 'Roy Orbison: Black and White Night' and 'Barry Manilow: Live'. No specific dates have been given for these releases, only a Spring/Summer timeframe.
To handle all these new releases, Image Entertainment has selected Sony DADC to do their compression and replication work.
