Lorenzo di Bonaventura's di Bonaventura Pictures and South Korean juggernaut CJ Entertainment have teamed up with Lotus Entertainment and Silver Reel to produce an English-language remake of acclaimed director Park Chan-wook's bloody thriller Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002).
Broken City writer Brian Tucker will be in charge with the script.
A remake of Park Chan-wook's Oldboy directed by Spike Lee is already set to arrive in U.S. theaters on October 11th. FilmDistgrict is distributing the remake (see news announcement here).
The original Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is already out on Blu-ray in the U.S. and UK. See our listings and reviews of these releases here and here.
