Veteran Hong Kong director Tsui Hark and acclaimed martial arts choreographer and director Yuen Wo Ping are teaming up for the production of
Zu Warriors: Dawn Of Darkness. The film, which will be shot in 3D, will be produced by Tsui Hark and directed by Yuen Wo Ping. The Bona Film Group is financing the project.
Director Tsui Hark is known for his lavish martial arts films which often boast state-of-the-art special effects. He is currently working on a prequel to his highly successful
Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame.
Yuen Wo Ping is best known for his classic period film
Iron Monkey, starring martial arts superstar Donnie Yen. In 2010, he also directed
True Legend, starring Michelle Yeoh, Andy On, Xiaogang Feng, and Jay Chou.
