France Télévisions Distribution have revealed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of celebrated Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's latest film, Le Passe a.k.a The Past (2013), starring Bérénice Bejo (The Artist), Tahar Rahim (A Prophet), and Ali Mosaffa (Leila). The preliminary release date set by the studio is September 18th.
After four years separation, Ahmad arrives in Paris from Teheran. He has been asked to come by Marie, his French wife, so that they can proceed with their divorce. During his brief stay in the city, Ahmad witnesses the conflictual relationship between Marie and daughter Lucie. His efforts to make the relationship better will reveal a past secret.
Note: In 2012, director Asghar Farhadi's A Separation won Oscar Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The film is now available on Blu-ray. See our listings and reviews of the UK and U.S. releases here and here.
