Walt Disney Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed the 40th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of
Robin Hood, Walt Disney Animation's 21st animated feature. The classic adventure arrives on August 6th via
Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy and
BD/DVD combo packs.
Synopsis: Join Robin Hood (voiced by Brian Bedford), his trusted companion Little John (Phil Harris) and his hilarious band of Merry Men as they outfox greedy Prince John (Peter Ustinov) to save the good people of Nottingham. Dashing from one daring deed to the next, Robin won't rest until he wins the hand of Maid Marian (Monica Evans) and restores King Richard (Ustinov) to the throne.
Robin Hood also features the voice talents of Andy Devine as Friar Tuck, Terry Thomas as Sir Hiss and Roger Miller as Allan-a-Dale.
Robin Hood will feature a 1080p video presentation, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track and several extras, including:
