As part of its distribution deal with Paramount, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is bringing three additional catalog titles to Blu-ray this September: writer/director Bruce Robinson's
Jennifer 8, director Phillip Noyce's
Sliver, and director Brian De Palma's
Snake Eyes. All three thrillers street on September 10th. Tech specs and special features have yet to be detailed.
Jennifer 8
Synopsis: They are unidentified victims of an unsolved death spree; women not only linked by a killer's gruesome handiwork, but by police files giving each victim the code name "Jennifer". Homicide investigator John Berlin (Andy Garcia) believes he's made a breakthrough in the case when he uncovers a key witness: a young blind woman named Helena (Uma Thurman). Yet who can rely on the testimony of a witness who cannot see? Who can trust Berlin when he is ultimately suspected of the murders? And who can keep vulnerable Helena from becoming the next Jennifer?
Jennifer 8 also stars Kevin Conway, Kathy Baker, Lance Henriksen, John Malkovich and Graham Beckel, with cinematography by Conrad Hall and music by Christopher Young.
Sliver
Synopsis: Young publishing executive Carly (Sharon Stone) takes an apartment in an exclusive "sliver" building in New York, only to learn that the previous tenant, who bore a striking resemblance to Carly, died in a mysterious fall from the apartment balcony. When other tenants of the building begin to also die mysterious deaths, Carly begins to suspect that a killer may be inhabiting the building, and that it may be either Zeke (William Baldwin), the voyeuristic building owner with whom she's romantically involved, or Jack (Tom Berenger), a suspicious mystery writer.
Sliver features a screenplay by Joe Eszterhas, with cinematography by Vilmos Zsigmond and music by Howard Shore.
Snake Eyes
Synopsis: An assassination attempt during a packed arena boxing match thrusts a corrupt Atlantic City detective named Rick Santoro (Nicolas Cage) into a murder case with one catch: there are more than 14,000 potential suspects. Eliciting the help of his friend, US Navy Commander Kevin Dunne (Gary Sinise), Santoro soon finds himself in the midst of a deadly conspiracy where nothing is what it appears to be.
