British distributors Artificial Eye have informed us that they are planning to add four Blu-ray titles to their catalog: French director Claude Miller's final film,
Therese Desqueyroux (2012), legendary Indian director Satyajit Ray's
Mahanagar (1963) and
Nayak (1966), and Canadian director Atom Egoyan's
The Sweet Hereafter (1997). All four titles are expected to arrive on the market on September 9th.

Mahanagar: The Big City
Satyajit Ray writes and directs this 1960s Indian drama set in Calcutta. In order to help with her family's financial situation, Arati (Mukherjee) finds work as a saleswoman. Despite her husband Subrata (Chatterjee)'s insecurity over this, when he loses his job, Arati becomes the sole provider for her family. However, this untraditional role reversal creates a divide between her and Subrata and leaves the household in turmoil. Starring Anil Chatterjee, Madhabi Mukherjee, and Jaya Bhaduri.
Nayak: The Hero
Bollywood drama directed by the legendary Satyajit Ray. Aditi is a pretty journalist who interviews the film star Arindam Mukherjee on a train trip to Delhi, and flashbacks are used to illustrate the main events in the actor's life. After she has completed the interview, Aditi tears up her notes and refuses to use the story that could change the public perception of the popular actor. Starring Uttam Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, and Bireswar Sen.
