For those of you who have been checking out our Blu-ray reviews over the past few days, you may have noticed a slight change to our review format. Initially, all reviews were accompanied by tiny screenshots, similar to how most movie review sites operate. But we here at Blu-ray.com want to provide you with the best reviews of Blu-ray titles, so we have increased the size of all screenshots to a full 720p high definition image.
Whenever you see a linked image in a review, simply click on the image to view a 720p high definition screenshot from the movie. While the transition to providing high definition screenshots with every review will take some time, most new reviews (including the recently posted review of
Appleseed Ex Machina) and some older reviews (such as
Casino Royale) have already received the high definition treatment.
While these screenshots aren't 1080p like the Blu-ray video you will see on your HDTV (they were reduced to 720p in order to improve load times), they do provide you with a great way to preview the title before you buy it.
Additionally, not all screenshots taken are used for the review. Make sure you check out the
Screenshots tab for each title to not only see all screenshots included in the review, but additional screenshots as well.
