The Sorcerer and the White Snake Blu-ray Detailed

Magnolia Pictures has detailed the Blu-ray release of action director Ching Siu-Tung's The Sorcerer and the White Snake. Based on the Chinese legend, "Madame White Snake," the film tells the story of a holy warrior named Fa Hai (Jet Li) who must face treachery and deception and battle a thousand-year-old creature disguised as a woman (Eva Huang) to save a smitten young man's soul. The martial arts fantasy epic streets on April 9th.

Declared "a visually lavish epic" by the Hollywood Reporter, with "fantastic visuals and non-stop action [that] make for a spectacular, romantic feast," The Sorcerer and the White Snake premiered at the 68th Venice International Film Festival and has garnered a number of accolades. The film was originally presented in 3D, but neither April 9th Blu-ray release includes a 3D experience.
