Hong Kong distributors Media Asia have released the first teaser trailer for veteran director Johnnie To's new film Blind Detective (2013), starring Andy Lau (Infernal Affairs, Running Out of Time) and Sammi Cheng (Infernal Affairs III, Lady Cop & Papa Crook). The film will have its premiere in Hong Kong later this year.
Official synopsis: A cop is forced into early retirement due to retinal damage. But after witnessing a bank robbery along with a female inspector - who believes he has acute senses - they team up in hope to solve the case.
Note: Johnnie To's Life Without Principle was selected to represent Hong Kong in the Foreign Language Category of the 85th Academy Awards. The film is already out on Blu-ray. See our listing and review here.
