Airheads
In director Michael Lehmann's hilarious spoof of the music industry, three intelligence-challenged rock 'n' rollers -- Chazz (Brendan Fraser), Rex (Steve Buscemi) and Pip (Adam Sandler) -- decide to take drastic action after their music continually falls on deaf ears. They break into a radio station, hoping to get their demo played on the air. But when the deejay (Joe Mantegna) and station manager (Michael McKean) refuse to play their song, the boys have no choice but to take the entire radio station hostage. Airheads also stars Harold Ramis, Judd Nelson, Ernie Hudson, David Arquette and the late Chris Farley.
Bedazzled
Synopsis: The Devil's never been so hot or hilarious in director Harold Ramis' remake of the 1967 film of the same name. Elliot Richards (Brendan Fraser), a hapless, love-starved computer technician, agrees to sell his soul in exchange for seven wishes in the hopes of ensnaring his colleague Allison Gardner (Frances O'Connor), the girl of his dreams. But the sly Princess of Darkness (Elizabeth Hurley) has more than a few tricks up her sleeve. Before you can say Fire and Brimstone, Elliot's life becomes a hysterical hell on earth.
Best Laid Plans
Synopsis: Welcome to Tropico, a gray little town smack dab in the middle of nowhere where nothing ever happens... until a botched robbery leaves Nick (Alessandro Nivola) 48 hours to pay up or die. Desperate, Nick and his girlfriend Lissa (Reese Witherspoon) undertake drastic measures to get their hands on some fast cash. Enter Nick's old college chum Bryce (Josh Brolin), a seemingly easy mark who holds the ticket to the couple's salvation. But before long, all three young people will find themselves entwined in a dangerous web of betrayal and seduction that L.A. Weekly calls "a treasure map of double crosses and hairpin turns."
Black Knight
Synopsis: A fast-talking, trouble-making maintenance worker named Jamal (Martin Lawrence) is in for a royally rude awakening when an unfortunate moat mishap at the Medieval World theme park transports him back in time to 14th century England. It's Mark Twain's "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by way of Lawrence (whose Jamal renames himself Luke Skywalker) and director Gil Junger. Black Knight also stars Tom Wilkinson, Marsha Thomason and Kevin Conway.
Chasing Papi
Synopsis: Handsome advertising executive Tomas "Papi" Fuentes (Eduardo Verastegui) is truly, deeply in love with three gorgeous women in three different cities. There's prim-and-proper Patricia (Jaci Velasquez) in New York, lovely Lorena (Roselyn Sanchez) in Chicago and spicy Cici (Sofia Vergara) in Miami. But when all three arrive in L.A. to surprise Papi at his home, the situation doesn't just heat up, it explodes. Filled with beautiful bodies, hip Latin rhythms and plenty of passion, Chasing Papi is directed by Linda Mendoza from a script written by Laura Angelica Simon and Steve Antin.
