Deadly Blessing Officially Announced

British distributors Arrow Video have officially announced and detailed their upcoming deluxe Blu-ray edition of Wes Craven's Deadly Blessing (1981), starring Maren Jensen, Sharon Stone, Douglas Barr, and Susan Buckner. The release will be available for purchase online and in shops across the United Kingdom on March 25th.

The first mainstream (as opposed to independent) effort from horror director Wes Craven. Jim Schmidt (Barr), a former member of the Hittites - a religious community who reject all ways of modern life - has married an outsider and left the community. He is murdered when someone starts his tractor and runs him over. His grieving widow, Martha (Jensen), hated by the Hittites for seducing one of their brethren, is joined by two old girlfriends from college who come to console her. It's not long before someone or something starts trying to kill them too.
