Walt Disney Home Entertainment is bringing
Shanghai Noon and its sequel,
Shanghai Knights, to Blu-ray via a
2-Movie Collection release. The action comedies star funnyman Owen Wilson and martial arts legend Jackie Chan, and are available for pre-order. The 2-Movie Collection arrives on May 7th.
Shanghai Noon: Two cultures collide when Chinese Imperial Guard Chon Wang (Chan) hightails it to the wild, woolly West to rescue a beautiful kidnapped princess (Lucy Liu). There he meets laid-back outlaw cowboy Roy O'Bannon (Wilson), just before the two face jail, brawls, bordellos and the vilest villains this side of the Great Wall. Spectacular stunts reign as East meets West in a battle for honor, royalty, and a fortune in gold.
Shanghai Knights: Chan and Wilson reunite when Chon Wang gets news of his estranged father's murder in Shanghai, leaves his honorable life as Carson City's sheriff, and partners with his yarn-spinning sidekick, Roy O'Bannon. Together they set out on a daring quest for honor and revenge that takes them to London, where they quickly find themselves in the middle of a devious plot to eliminate the entire royal family. Now Chon must fight to avenge his father's death... and keep love-struck Roy away from his sister.
Exact technical specifications, final cover art and extras have yet to be detailed. Disney has only confirmed the films feature a "new digital restoration."
