A new English-friendly teaser has been released for acclaimed director Bruno Dumont's Camille Claudel, 1915 (2013), starring Juliette Binoche, Jean-Luc Vincent, and Emmanuel Kauffman. The film will have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival tomorrow.
Winter, 1915. Confined by her family to a mental asylum in the south of France - where she will no longer sculpt - Camille Claudel lives a reclusive life while waiting for a visit from her brother, Paul Claudel.
The story of Camille Claudel was also filmed by director Bruno Nuytten in 1988. The film, which stars Isabelle Adjani and Gérard Depardieu, was also screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it won Best Actress Award. (See our DVD listing here).
