Warner Bros. has reached out to Blu-ray.com to help clarify details surrounding the Blu-ray release of
Cloud Atlas. Currently,
no official release date has been set or announced, and rumors of a June street date remain unconfirmed. The studio has informed us that it will be unveiling its
Cloud Atlas plans in the near future, though, so date and product details will be available soon.
Cloud Atlas is an ambitious, multi-part epic that takes the form of six stories read by six people throughout various continents and time periods on Earth. As in the novel, the Wachowskis and director Tom Tykwer draw thematic and narrative parallels between these disparate segments - spanning the Chatham Islands in 1850 to a futuristic, post-apocalyptic Hawaii - ultimately suggesting connections that the individual protagonists would not dare suspect. The film contains an impressive ensemble cast that includes Tom Hanks (
