Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed the specs for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the Arnold Schwarzenegger film 'The 6th Day', and a surprise addition will be support for D-Box home theater seating. Joining other film studios who include the motion software on their Blu-ray releases, Sony is the latest to provide support for the unique home theater experience.

Video will be presented 2.40:1 1080p AVC accompanies by English, French, and Portuguese 5.1 Dolby TrueHD. Extras include the "Showtime Special: The Future is Coming", storyboard comparisons and animatics, and "Repet" information and TV spot. Also included are nine behind-the-scenes featurettes including "Another Way to Fly", "Finding Sim Pay Cindy", "The Art of the Chase", "Over the Cliff", "Virtual Girlfriend", "In the Tank", "Free Falling", "Detonation", and "Enhancing the Look".

Director Roger Spottiswoode (Tomorrow Never Dies, Noriega) creates a world of the very near future in which cattle, fish, and even the family pet can be cloned. But cloning humans is illegal - that is until family man Adam Gibson (Arnold Schwarzenegger) comes home from work one day to find a clone has replaced him. Taken from his family and plunged into a sinister world he doesn't understand, Gibson must not only save himself from the assassins who must destroy him to protect their secret, but uncover who and what is behind the horrible things happening to him. THE SIXTH DAY is the story of Gibson's struggle to reclaim his life and his family.
