Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

This Week on Blu-ray: April 27-May 3

For the week of April 27th, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release Dust Bunny on 4K UHD. Other new releases include Highest 2 Lowest from A24, Grafted from Shudder, Cold Storage from Samuel Goldwyn Films, Great Absence from Film Movement and Plan 75 from KimStim. Catalog titles include Blu-rays from the Warner Archive Collection, Badge 373 from Cinématographe, Something's Gotta Give from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and 4K UHD releases for Hold that Ghost and Throw Momma from the Train from Kino Lorber, The Grapes of Death and The Living Dead Girl from Indicator, Innerspace and Soldier (1998) from Arrow Video and John Singleton's Hood Trilogy (1991-2001) from the Criterion Collection.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

For the week of May 31st, new releases include Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and a a 4K UHD upgrade for Smokey and the BanditUniversal Pictures Home Entertainment. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has The Courier and Endangered Species on Blu-ray, while RLJ Entertainment will release Spare Parts on Blu-ray, but it's Paramount Pictures with the biggest slate, including new release The Vault and camp classic Mommie Dearest debuting on Blu-ray as part of the Paramount Presents lineup.

For the week that ended on May 22nd, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Raya and the Last Dragon topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The first film for Walt Disney Animation Studios since 2018, Raya and the Last Dragon was set for a theatrical release last year, but the pandemic pushed it to March 2021. Nevertheless, it topped the box office in its first three weeks, eventually bringing in over $45 million domestically and over $107 million so far globally.
