Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Chuck Russell's Eraser (1996) with a new 4K Blu-ray release, which is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16th.

For the week of April 20th, Disney and 20th Century Studios will release Send Help on 4K UHD combo pack. Other new releases include 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Die My Love from Mubi, Resurrection from the Criterion Collection, Primate from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Christy and Shelter from Black Bear, The Strangers: Chapter 3 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Forbidden City from Well Go USA Task: The Complete First Season from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Jimpa from Kino Lorber. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Point Blank from Criterion, Sleepers from Warner, The Ninth Gate from Lionsgate and The Eye from Arrow Video.

Blu-ray Sales: April 5-11: Over the Garden Wall and Mercy Top the Charts

For the week that ended on April 11th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Over the Garden Wall: The Complete Series (2014) topped the Blu-ray-only chart, while the weeks top 4K UHD release, Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) took second place and third place went to Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration in its second week.

28 Days Later 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002), starring Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Christopher Eccleston, Megan Burns, and Brendan Gleeson. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 1.

For the week on March 14th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release West Side Story (2021) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Red Rocket on Blu-ray from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, and Vikings: Season 6, Volume 2 on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. This week also sees a number of 4K UHD upgrades, including The Apartment from Kino Lorber and An American Werewolf in London from Arrow Films.

Blu-ray Sales: February 27-March 5: Encanto Retakes Top Spot from Eternals

For the week that ended on March 5th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Encanto reclaimed the top spot on both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the first time since its release three weeks ago. Dropping to second place on both charts is Disney's Eternals, which had topped the charts for the past two weeks, while Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Ghostbusters: Afterlife managed to stay in third place on the Blu-ray chart.

GKIDS Acquires Makoto Shinkai Titles, Confirms Blu-ray Releases Coming Later This Year

GKIDS has acquired the North American distribution rights for a slate of four titles from acclaimed writer/director Makoto Shinkai. They are: 5 Centimeters Per Second (2007), Children Who Chase Lost Voices (2011), The Place Promised in Our Early Days (2004), and Voices of a Distant Star (2002). All titles will be released on Blu-ray by GKIDS later this year.
