Blu-ray Sales: January 11-17: TRON: Ares Still Top of the Charts in Second Week

For the week that ended on January 17th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's TRON: Ares remained on top of the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and UHD Sellers charts in its second week. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Lionsgate Home Entertainment's 1408, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place remained with Lionsgate's Dogma.

Zootopia 2 4K Blu-ray (UPDATED)

Disney is preparing a Blu-ray release of Jared Bush and Byron Howard's Zootopia 2 (2025), featuring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, and Andy Samberg. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on March 3.

For the week of January 26th, Music Box Films will release A Little Prayer on Blu-ray. Other new releases include The Thing with Feathers from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Trifole from Cohen Media Group. Catalog titles include Red Dust (1932) and The Narrow Margin from the Warner Archive Collection, Blood of Revenge and a new edition of Illustrious Corpses from Radiance Films and 4K UHD upgrades for The Mechanic (1972) and The Rolling Stones: Let's Spend the Night Together from Kino Lorber, Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985), House Party (1990) and Birth (2004) from the Criterion Collection and Marry Me from Universal.

For the week that ended on January 3rd, the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release of Eyes Wide Shut moved up to the top spot on both the Blu-ray-only and UHD Sellers charts for the week, pushing Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Black Phone 2 into second place in its second week, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Criterion's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release of Pee-wee's Big Adventure.

Alliance Entertainment Secures Deal with Amazon MGM Studios

Alliance Entertainment has inked a physical media distribution deal with Amazon MGM Studios that will cover the U.S. and Canadian markets. Alliance Entertainment has plans for a variety of different 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of catalog and recent titles.

For the week of January 12th, Kino Lorber will release the documentary Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk on Blu-ray as well as four films in the Pink Panther film series on 4K UHD. Other new releases include the documentary Naked Ambition (2023) on Blu-ray from Music Box Films, while catalog titles include Blu-rays for The Godless Girl from Kino, Goodbye, Columbus from Fun City Editions and Mystery Team from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, as well as 4K UHD upgrades for Thunderheart from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Babe (1995), its sequel Babe: Pig in the City and Dante's Peak from Kino Lorber, Yi Yi from the Criterion Collection, Cabin Fever (2002) and 1408 from Lionsgate and a new 4K UHD edition of Evil Dead Rise from Arrow Video.
