Reviewers: The Best of 2025 Part One

Once again, the Blu-ray.com reviewers and contributors have come together to compile individual lists of their favorite releases. 2025 saw an incredible variety of 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases, featuring timeless classics, beloved cult and rare genre gems, as well as some extremely rare catalog titles that had been unavailable on the home video market for many decades. Several beloved vintage and more recent TV shows also received lavish releases.

This Week on Blu-ray: January 5-11

For the week of January 5th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release TRON: Ares on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Shelby Oaks from Decal Releasing, Plainclothes and It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Afterburn from Ketchup Entertainment and Köln 75 from Kino Lorber. Catalog titles include Shameless: The Complete Series (2011-2021) on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and 4K UHD upgrades for Bullet in the Head from Shout Factory, Under Siege (1992) from Arrow Video and Dead Man from the Criterion Collection.

Predator: Badlands 4K Blu-ray

20th Century Studios and Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands (2025), starring Elle Fanning, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, Ravi Narayan, Michael Homick, and Stefan Grube. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on February 17.

Ben-Hur 4K Blu-ray

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release on 4K Blu-ray William Wyler's Ben-Hur (1959), starring Charlton Heston, Jack Hawkins, Haya Harareet, Stephen Boyd, and Hugh Griffith. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on February 17.
